It’s Not Me, It’s Shoe
CMR Project Space, Redruth 2019
It’s Not Me, It’s Shoe pays tribute to the neurotic and insecure, combining aesthetics of modernism and minimalism with the clutter and absurdity of modern living. Clumpy shoes, makeup, cigarettes and cartoonishly sensual forms point to the male gaze, and present troupes of gender and sexuality at their most basic and fetishised level.
